Case study · Menus
Saffron fold-out menu
A full menu for a multi-cuisine restaurant. Well over a hundred dishes, prices, bilingual headings and heavy food photography, all folding down to something a customer holds in one hand.

What we did
- Mapped the content to the fold plan first, so no section breaks across a crease
- Stepped the panel widths for the roll fold so the inner panels tuck instead of buckling
- Set the whole menu bilingually, with matched hierarchy across both scripts
- Cut out and colour-corrected every dish photograph, then set them into a repeating hexagon frame
- Built a dense price and description structure that stays legible at arm’s length on a dark ground
- Produced two formats from one system, the full dine-in fold-out and a slim takeaway version
Menus are the most common repeat job in a small print shop, and the one that arrives in the worst condition. Fold-aware layout is the part that goes wrong.
