Off the press

The finished box, printed and in hand. Same file, same dieline, nothing redrawn at the printer’s end.

What the client sent

AI-generated images of the box front and back. Good as a visual direction, but not artwork: no layout, no panels, nothing a press could use. Dielines came separately from their printing company.

What we did

  • Rebuilt the artwork as flat, panel-aware layouts on the printer’s supplied dielines
  • Extended imagery into the bleed and pulled all text and marks inside the safe area
  • Corrected the mode count. The front said 7 Spielmodi, the back copy described six. Rebuilt the icon strip to six
  • Replaced the AI composite imagery on the back with real lifestyle photography of people playing
  • Reflowed the German copy to a fixed measure, kept the original hierarchy
  • Laid out the four side panels: repeated logo, age and player icons, CE mark, App Store and Google Play badges

This sample shows the whole gap in one image: a picture of a box, and a file a press can run.
